Which Fiat models fail their MOT less for their age?
In 2024, 71.6% of MOTs on the 23 Fiat models published here passed (65.9% first time, 5.7% after a fix at the test centre), from 711,383 first tests. Allowing for age (not mileage), these Fiat models fail 10% more often than normal: brand MOT Risk Index 109.9 (95% CI 109.6–110.3; 100 = normal).
Among Fiat models with at least 10,000 first tests, the Fiat Ducato (van) has the lowest index (75.5) and the Fiat Tipo the highest (149.7). On raw pass rates, the Fiat 500X comes first instead, because the models' fleets differ in age.
