Which Renault models fail their MOT less for their age?
In 2024, 68.2% of MOTs on the 22 Renault models published here passed (62.1% first time, 6.1% after a fix at the test centre), from 978,475 first tests. Allowing for age (not mileage), these Renault models fail 30% more often than normal: brand MOT Risk Index 129.8 (95% CI 129.5–130.1; 100 = normal).
Among Renault models with at least 10,000 first tests, the Renault Master (van) has the lowest index (103.0) and the Renault Trafic (van) the highest (147.6). On raw pass rates, the Renault Kadjar comes first instead, because the models' fleets differ in age.

Where are Renault models worse than other cars of the same age?
Allowing for age, Renault models fail on lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment more than other cars of the same age: 30.4 failures per 100 tests against 20.9 expected (9.5 more; 95% interval 9.42 to 9.50).
