Which Jaguar models fail their MOT less for their age?
In 2024, 81.9% of MOTs on the 12 Jaguar models published here passed (78.5% first time, 3.4% after a fix at the test centre), from 349,792 first tests. Allowing for age (not mileage), these Jaguar models fail 20% less often than normal: brand MOT Risk Index 79.7 (95% CI 79.2–80.2; 100 = normal).
Among Jaguar models with at least 10,000 first tests, the Jaguar F-Type has the lowest index (43.0) and the Jaguar X-Type (almost all tested at 15 years or older) the highest (98.6, close to normal). On raw pass rates, the Jaguar I-Pace comes first instead, because the models' fleets differ in age.
