Which Hyundai models fail their MOT less for their age?
In 2024, 78.8% of MOTs on the 21 Hyundai models published here passed (73.1% first time, 5.7% after a fix at the test centre), from 903,466 first tests. Allowing for age (not mileage), these Hyundai models fail about as often as normal: brand MOT Risk Index 102.7 (95% CI 102.4–103.1; 100 = normal).
Among Hyundai models with at least 10,000 first tests, the Hyundai Ioniq has the lowest index (89.1) and the Hyundai i30 the highest (117.2). On raw pass rates, the Hyundai Kona comes first instead, because the models' fleets differ in age.
