Which Mini models fail their MOT less for their age?
In 2024, 81.4% of MOTs on the 6 Mini models published here passed (76.2% first time, 5.2% after a fix at the test centre), from 759,499 first tests. Allowing for age (not mileage), these Mini models fail 16% less often than normal: brand MOT Risk Index 83.8 (95% CI 83.5–84.2; 100 = normal).
Among Mini models with at least 10,000 first tests, the MINI Countryman has the lowest index (69.3) and the MINI Clubman the highest (86.2, still better than normal).
