# Attribution and licences — MOT Risk Index Evidence Capsule 2024-v5

The data files of version 2024-v5 (DOI [10.5281/zenodo.22975051](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22975051)) combine the following sources. Each row of `motriskindex-outside-sources-2024-v5.csv` names its source in the `source` column; `manifest.json` repeats the licence per file.

- **DVSA anonymised MOT tests and results, DVSA vehicle safety recalls, DfT vehicle licensing statistics** — Contains public sector information licensed under the [Open Government Licence v3.0](https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/).
- **Norway** — Statens vegvesen, *Periodisk kjøretøykontroll (PKK)* 2024 ([material](https://github.com/vegvesen/periodisk-kjoretoy-kontroll)), licensed under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Adapted: inspections aggregated by make and model and matched to UK model families; failure shares recomputed.
- **Finland** — Traficom (Liikenne- ja viestintävirasto), periodic inspections of cars by model 2024 ([material](https://trafi2.stat.fi/PXWeb/pxweb/en/TraFi/TraFi__Katsastuksen_vikatilastot/)), licensed under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Adapted: matched to UK model families.
